Nina is one of our viewers who has been following us since our sites started many years ago. She sent this project suggestion using the templates from our Chicka Chicka Boom Boom section.
“Hi Leanne, I did this with Emmaline age 5, who just started Kindergarten. Her teacher was doing the book two days of that week. It occurred to me to see if your alphabet stamps would make an A–Z calling card set .. and voila it did in both upper and lower case in the perfect size and colorful letter like the book.
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom activity with upper case alphabet stamps.
I happened to have a circle punch (1″) which worked great.
As you suggest the project is about matching upper to lower case and in reverse I also did put dashed lines to match the color (zoom in) to help the child turn the letter to right positioning .. since many letters look similar like p and d, or u and n, and even w upside down looks like an m. She loved it! She colored and assembled the tree with your Chicka Chicka Boom Boom template.
Yeah, I am a fan of page protectors, put the letters in there all together to keep them nice and tidy until next time!”

Thanks for taking the time to share your activity suggestion with us Nina!

Wife, mom and the woman behind the scenes of the DLTK's Crafts for Kids websites. The websites are a terrific hobby -- run by (me) Leanne, a mom with two girls as my official craft testers and my husband as my technical support. DLTK are the first initials of each of the people in my family (I'm the L!). Whenever we send out little cards or whatnot, we sign 'love DLTK' ... when I started the website I used the initials. Had I known the website would get actual strangers visiting it, I would have picked a less mysterious name but we're all stuck with it now!
