Kailey's Review:
It was really nice and fun! My favorite part was at
beginning when Tiana was a little girl. I also like it when Tiana
and Naveen met the crocodile Louis. I was a scared at the end when
the Shadow Man was talking to his “friends on the other side”.
I
would love it to see it again! I asked my mom if we could get the DVD but
she said they aren’t out yet.
Sierra's Review:
I liked the movie except for the bad guy (Shadow Man).
He made me a little scared but he wasn’t on the movie for too long. My
favorite parts were the very beginning of the movie when Tiana and
Charlotte were little and listening to a story about a princess kissing a
frog. Tiana thought that was gross and Charlotte didn’t mind kissing a
frog at all, as long as she would get a handsome prince.
My other
favorite part was at the end when Tiana and Prince Naveen got married and
changed from frogs to people. |
Sharla's Review:
I was looking forward to seeing a new Disney Princess
movie. I enjoyed it but was concerned with some aspects of it. The “bad
guy” Dr. Facilier (Shadow Man) was a tarot card reader and practiced
voodoo. I thought that he might be a little scary but was relieved
when my daughters did not seem to remember much about the character.
The rest of the movie was magical. There was a lot of excellent musical
numbers that follows the style of music from Louisiana and there were many
loveable side-kicks (Louis and Ray) which really stuck out for me.
Princess Tiana was a strong, smart, hardworking and independent woman,
which I appreciated.
There was a strong contrast between Tiana and
her best friend Charlotte who had everything handed to her on a silver
platter. Tiana had to work hard for everything but didn’t mind doing so to
make her dream come to reality. When a chance for her to get everything
she wanted in order to give over Prince Naveen (a frog at the time) she
wouldn’t do it. She realized friendships and family were more important.
