| Message: | That just goes to show that people will do what they do whether they are being watched or not. I am glad you found out that there was a problem early. I have never used a nanny for my son, but I do have a close friend who babysits for us. I guess if I was bringing a stranger into my home to watch him, I would be leery also. I agree with asking/telling the nanny that the cam is there and not just hiding it. I know if someone was taping me without my permission, even if it was and employer, I would be angry. It would create a very poor work enviroment. Maybe you can ask the next nanny to spend some time with your child while you are around (running short errands, doing chores around the house, ect.) before you leave them alone for the full day. This way you can see how they interact, what activities they do and how they get along. My cousin did this before hiring her nanny, and decided not to hire her because she was unhappy with her daughters reaction to the nanny. Good Luck. |
