| Message: | I wouldn't totally give up on baby sitters. Don't let one bad expierence ruin you for life. In the future though get to know the sitter before hand. Have them over for dinner or just play with the kids. Go into another room and let hr be alone with the kids for short while. You can even use your nanny cam for this but you are right there if it gets out of line. Don't feel shy about asking them questions such as 'Emily and Jade often get into fights, what would you do if they were fighting?' or 'if there was a fire how would you get all the kids out safe?' Get an idea of their pilosphy before you hire them. I know how you feel I'm extreemly leary about leaving my son with anyone. I have only had one person/famiy whom I trusted and used them for emergency reasons only. It turned out badly so I won't leave my child with them any more either. I completely agree with you that the court house or even a lawyer's office is not a place for kids. You never know what they will see or hear. |
