| Message: | Hi, I'm sure you'll get great ideas for this, but a thought that came to me as soon as I read your message is this: a 6 year old and their friends should not endure the same type of spooky/scary stuff as your older child...it is TOO much for them to handle emotionally. Therefore, I thought you could set up 2 different rooms in your house - one for the older kids, and one for the younger kids (a much tamer version for sure!) - that way you can still do it on the same night, but not subject the young ones to things they are not emotionally ready to handle. There may be ideas people come up with that you can do all do together, but I think for the sake of both groups, they would probably have a better time being separated for this type of event. |
