Here's the recipe from my Baby Beluga tape: Mrs. Pike's Biscuits 1c. sifted all purpose flour 1 c. sifted whole wheat flour 4 tsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp. salt 1/3 c. margarine 3/4 c. milk Sift dry ingredients into bowl. Cut in marg. until like coarse crumbs. Then make a well. Add milk. Stir quickly with a fork until blended - don't stir too much. Turn onto lightly floured surface. Knead gently 10-12 strokes. Roll dough out to 1/2" thickness. Dip cutter in flour - cut straight down, NO twisting. Bake on ungreased sheet at 450 for 12 minutes. |
