Subject:  Re: Is it ok 2 sell stuff from on here?
Message:  Hi all,
I do answer my email and the discussion group to the best of my ability. Having said that, I receive over 300 messages per day now and I'm only "one mom" with a hobby website and appreciate all the help that everyone gives each other on the site. Sometimes it takes me awhile to respond (especially on soccer night!)

The answer to selling stuff is NO... there are a variety of reasons for this. In the case you mentioned, Bill Martin Jr. has kindly allowed us to discuss his book and share material related to it on the internet. He isn't required to do this and it's generous of him to do so. If people start selling the material over Ebay, we'll all end up losing in the long run... copyright holders who've decided to allow internet use WILL change their minds if they see a big "underground ebay market" developing because of it.

Now the question is ... how to stop it. I have no answer. I think the fact that I am "just a mom" with a hobby website makes people realize that I'm not going to have the time or resources to take action to stop them. I have written to people selling my stuff on ebay in the past with very little success. I'm stumped as to what action I can take -- that won't eat up all my time or make the website a miserable experience for me *grin*.

Suggestions appreciated!
Leanne
