| Message: | Hey Sarah where were you last year when K was into BTB? LOL You have a ton of great ideas. I'm confused though. I don't remember Bob wearing a vest. He wears blue overalls, a checkered shirt, a yellow hard hat and tool belt. I dressed K has him last year. An easy way of making his shirt is to get an orange shirt and cut yellow tape into squares. Place them around the shirt in the chex design. Then put him in denium overalls, a work belt a toy hard hat, work boots if you want to get that fancy (we did LOL). If you have a little girl she can be Wendy (for halloween or play)really easy green shirt, jeans and hard hat (she wears blue but unless you can color a yellow one I havne't seen a blue one) To make a play workbench for your child, you can use a pack of plastic golf tees, a foam block (Wal Mart or craft stores) and a plastic hammer. The child can then hammer the golf tees (nails) into the foam block. (*) warning on this idea. It's awesome and keep the children busy for a long time. You can go to stores and ask if they have any left over foam. Many will just give it to you. Or use the foam that comes with things you buy. The negative part to it is you will have foam bits that are hard to pick up all over the place. A simple way to correct this is to keep the foam in a box. If it's too hard to poke the golf tees into take a pair of scissors or a real nail and several poke holes into it before the child begins to 'nail'. It'll keep them budy for a very long time, trust me you'll get sick of the constant banging before the child gets sick of this activity. You can also do the scarecrow activity to make 'Spud'. Put eyes on any truck coloring page to make that character (Muck, Scoop, Dizzy etc) |
