Why not do either a "Fall Festival" or a "Harvest Celebration"?
You could use pumpkins, indian corn, etc. for decorations. For treats, make cookies cut-out in pumpkin shapes, but decorate as pumpkins, not jack-o-lanterns. I have also seen somewhere to make little pumpkin cakes from small bundt cakes, but don't know where I have seen it. Take oreo cookies and put chocolate on the top of them, use black licorice to make legs coming out of the cookie, add mini m&m's or small amount of frosting on the top for eyes.
Make rice krispies treats with orange food coloring, make in round shapes (about the size of popcorn ball)add a piece of green "fruit by the foot" or something similar for a stem.
