HI, I WORK IN A DAYCARE AND EVERY YEAR WE HAVE A TEA PARTY FOR THE 4 AND 5 YEAR OLDS. IT IS AN ANNUAL EVENT. THE GIRLS ALL DRESS UP IN THERE DRESS UP CLOTHS(HATS, DRESSES, HEELS, GLOVES, PURSES, AND JEWELRY). THE BOYS WEAR DAD'S DRESS SHIRT AND TIE OR SOME MAY COME AS A COWBOY OR WHATEVER. EVREYONE WHO PARTICIPATES IS WELL GROOMED AND ON THERE BEST BEHAVIOR. THE TABLE IS DECKED OUT WITH FANCY TABLE CLOTHS, PLATES, NAPKINS, SILVERWEAR, GOBLETS AND TEA CUPS WITH SAUCERS. THERE IS A BEAUTIFUL FLOWER ARANGEMENT CENTER PIECE. AFTER THE PARTY THE KIDS ALL GET TO TAKE A FLOWER FROM THE ARANGEMENT HOME AS A MOMENTO OF THE PARTY. WE SERVE TEA OR JUICE, COOKIES, BROWNIES, FRUIT(APPLES,ORANGES,BANNANAS, STRAWBERRIES)AND PIGS IN A BLANKET. THE KIDS ALL HAVE A GREAT TIME AND LOVE DOING IT. WE USUALLY HAVE ABOUT 20-25 KIDS AT OUR PARTY. ON A SMALLER SCALE IF IT IS ALL GIRLS YOU MIGHT WANT TO GIVE THE GIRLS MAKE OVERS BEFORE THE PARTY AS PART OF THE SPECIAL DAY. THIS HELPS THEM GET INTO THE ROLE OF THE GROWN UP LADY HAVING AFTERNOON TEA. GOOD LUCK, AILEENE LIVINGSTON TEXAS
