Check the library for books on simple tricks that Dad can do. There are lots of them out there that use things around the house.
For decorations use playing cards, top hats, bunnies, metal rings, intense,mysterious eyes. Stencil top hats onto paper plates and cups, then cover with platic page protectors that have sticky on one side. Also making top hats (or you may find ready made at the craft store) would make very good treat holders. Lots of shiny, glittery shapes like stars, moons, suns.
Games might include things like creating their own bunny for the hat using paper cups or balloons, using a book of card tricks and giving pairs of kids a trick to learn, show, then teach to the others, trying to see how many small words they can make using the word "MAGICIAN", follow the ball under the hat (put a ball under one of three top hats, move them around a bunch and have the kids tell where it is). That's all I can think of for now. Hope it helps.
