Marshmallow Toffee Bars

"One of Darren's favourites so we just had to share it."  Leanne

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 300 ml can of condensed milk
  • 6 x 56g MacIntosh Toffee (on the candy rack in your grocery store) 
  • bag of large marshmallows
  • Rice Krispies to coat
    (Use the holiday box with red and green Rice Krispies if available.)
      

Directions:

  • Combine the butter, condensed milk and toffee in a double boiler and melt it.  (Takes about 10-15 minutes)
  • Pour some Rice Krispies on a baking sheet
  • Dip the marshmallows in the toffee mixture to coat
  • Immediately roll the toffee covered marshmallow in the Rice Krispies
  • Place on wax paper to cool.
      
    You can make them ahead of time freeze them.  (Darren says they taste best frozen anyway *grin*)
