Thanks so much to Kaitlyn for sharing the recipe with us.

Makes 36 cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
 • 1 3/4 cups flour
 • 1/4 tsp salt
 • 3/4 tsp baking soda
 • 3/4 cups unsalted butter or margarine
   (at room temperature)
 • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed firmly
 • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
 • 1 egg
 • 1 tsp vanilla
 • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Directions:
 1.  Collect all of the ingredients above and
bring them to your work area along with
2 bowls for mixing, a measuring cup,
measuring spoons, a tablespoon, a wooden
spoon, an electric mixer, a cookie
sheet, oven mitts and a spatula.
 2.  Preheat oven to 375F
 3.  Put butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar in a large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer at medium
     speed until combined.
 4.  Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture and beat.
 5.  In a smaller bowl, combine flour, salt and baking soda.
 6.  Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture about 1/4 cup at a time. You can use the electric mixture to
do this until about the last 1/2 cup when you'll need to use a wooden spoon instead.
 7.  Use the wooden spoon to stir in the chocolate chips.
 8.  Drop by heaping tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets. You can mold lightly onto the spoon with your
hand before dropping the cookies, but don't play with them too much with your hands or your cookies won't
     be as yummy.
 9.  Bake 10 minutes (if you've gotten about 36 cookies out of your dough) to 15 minutes (if you've only
gotten only 24 cookies out of the dough).
 10. While the cookies are baking, tidy up the work area.
 11. Remove the cookies from the pan with a spatula and place them in a single layer (on a plate or wire rack)
     to cool.
