Mexican Corn Bread
 • 1 cup yellow corn meal
 • 1 cup all purpose flour
 • 1 Tbsp baking powder
 • 2 Tbsp sugar
 • 1 tsp ground cumin
 • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
 • 1/2 tsp chili powder
 • 1/2 tsp salt
 • 1/4 cup canned chopped green chilies
 • 1 cup milk
 • 1/4 cup butter, melted
 • 1 egg
 1.  Preheat oven to 425 F.
 2.  In a bowl, stir together corn meal, flour, baking powder, sugar, cumin, garlic powder, chili powder and
 3.  Stir in chilies, milk, butter and egg.
 4.  Pour into a greased 8x8 inch pan
 5.  Bake for 20 minutes.
 6.  Makes 9 squares.
