PERSIAN POKEMON CRAFT

Persian, pokemon #63, is the evolved form of Meowth.  It's a rather nice cat-looking critter (though it does have a mean streak!) 

The craft is made with a toilet paper tube, a printer, a piece of paper, some crayons, scissors, and glue.  I always prefer to use a heavy paper (like construction paper), but it isn't necessary.

bulletPrint out the template of choice.
 
bulletColour (where appropriate) and cut out the template pieces. 
 
bulletGlue the large rectangular piece on first to cover the tube.
 
bulletYou can either make him on all fours or rearing up.
     
bulletIf you make him on all fours, glue a toothpick or coffee stir stick cut down to size to the back of the legs before you glue the legs to the tp roll.
bulletGlue on the head.
bulletGlue the tail onto the back using the tab to make a 3D effect.
bulletGlue on the 4 legs (the larger ones are meant to be the hind legs).
bulletYou can either glue it as if it were on all fours (use a toothpick glued to the back of each leg for added support).  See photo of Vulpix for what this looks like.
OR
bulletYou can glue the legs on so it looks like Persian is sitting up on its haunches.  This method tends to be a bit easier for 4 or 5 year olds to accomplish.  See photo of Golduck for what this looks like.
  
bulletClose the template window after printing to return to this screen. 
   
bulletSet page margins to zero if you have trouble fitting the template on one page (FILE, PAGE SETUP or FILE, PRINTER SETUP in most browsers).
