Colored Sand 

• fine sand 
• dry tempera paints
• OPTIONAL:  dry unsweetened kool aid

Mix sand, tempera paint and koolaid.

Store in air tight container (old margarine containers work well)

Coat paper with glue and sprinkle with colored sand.  Sprinkle with sand and shake extra back into container.
