Aboriginal Dot Art

So my daughters and I had a look at the examples that Nicole sent and decided we would give it a try.  Tasha and Kaitlyn both picked kangaroo pictures and you can see the results.

Materials:

bulletcoloring page or template (see below)
bulletwhite paper and printer to print the template
bulletposter paints or tempra paint in 'earthy' tones
bulletcotton swabs

  

Instructions:

bulletSelect your template or coloring page and print it (see below).
  
bulletDip a cotton swab in the paint and dab it on the coloring page
  
bulletUse a new cotton swab for each colour and use a variety of 'earthy' colours.

  

Templates:

bulletClose the template window after printing to return to this screen. 
   
bulletSet page margins to zero if you have trouble fitting the template on one page (FILE, PAGE SETUP or FILE, PRINTER SETUP in most browsers).
