Tasha's Review:

This action-packed movie shot thrills through my spine while managing to make me chuckle at the same time.  The characters kept the movie exciting with their individual personalities.

  • The famous and firey HOTTIE, Johnny Storm, is still trying to find the perfect girl.  And when he runs into a military blondie things might just heat up.
  • Soon to be married, Susan Storm, might be stressed by the never ending challenges of being a superhero, but that’s nothing compared to the responsibilities of planning the perfect wedding.
  • Her hubby to be, Reid Richards, is making some real progress on his scientific inventions – unfortunately, I can’t say the same thing for his progress on wedding duties.
  • And yay, big Ben finally seems happy in his own... skin? -- I think he's found the perfect woman.

I enjoyed the action, but was mostly happy to see comedy, personalities and relationships included in the movie, since action films aren’t the typical movie I like to watch.  It was fun to find a movie that my little sister, parents, Grandma and I could all go to for an entertaining afternoon.

Kaitlyn's Review:

This movie was a bit scary (I closed my eyes a lot) but it was full of really exciting action and suspense. The movie was just as good as the first one.

I think my favorite part of the movie was when the silver surfer was talking to the invisible woman.

My favorite character was the invisible woman, especially when she was on fire.  She's very nice and she's pretty and funny and has the coolest powers.

Questions Tasha Answered Before Watching the Movie:

Is this a movie you are excited to see?

Yes, because we enjoyed the first one, so of course I was excited.  There are other movies I'm more excited about, though.

Would you prefer to see it:

  • in the theatre with your family,
  • in the theatre with your friends
  • on DvD?

Questions Tasha Answered After Watching the Movie:

Was the movie as good as you thought it would be?

It was pretty much what I thought it would be.

Would you talk with your friends about it?

Not really. Maybe if they’d seen the first one.

Did you learn anything from it?

No.  (Mom!  It's summer, I don't HAVE to learn anything right now)

Was the movie as good as you thought it would be? Yes.  It was even better than I thought it would be.

Would you talk with your friends about it?

Yes. Quite a few of my friends were talking about it with me.

Did you learn anything from it?

No.

Notes from mom:

Grandma came with us... she hadn't seen the first movie, but still enjoyed this one (she was surprised she liked it -- I think part of her enjoyment was seeing how excited Kaitlyn was).

Tasha's definitely a "romantic comedy" movie-goer while Kaitlyn still likes cartoon movies the best.

Tasha REALLY differentiates movies between those she likes to see with her family and those she wants to go see (or watch at sleepovers) with her friends.  This one is a 'family movie' not a 'friends movie' for her.

None of us reads the Fantastic 4 comic books, though Kaitlyn has expressed some interest in getting one now that she's seen the movie.
