Happy Feet is about a penguin named Mumble.
Mumble lives in the South Pole. Although humans may not realize this, penguins (according this digitally animated movie) love to sing.
Not only do they enjoy singing but also they are also very good at it. Every penguin has his or her own unique way of singing and lets just say that Mumble drew the short straw on this one because he is not the best penguin when it comes to singing in the South Pole (I would even say that he is the worst).
I think that he would be described as the William Hung of the penguin world.
Even though he isn’t that great at singing he still manages to be happy, and if you know Mumble than you know that when he gets happy his little feet start to dance.
He actually tap dances when he is happy or even when he needs to show off to some mean, scary seal who happens to be trying to eat him.
He falls in love with an amazing penguin singer and teaches everyone that there is more to being a penguin than just singing and dancing.
If I had to rate this movie out of five stars I would probably give it 4 because it was very funny. The digital animation was AMAZING and I have to say that I was very surprised when I saw how real the snow and the water looked! The audience that I would have to choose for this movie would probably be anybody through the ages of 2-12. Some adults would probably really enjoy this movie although it was a little bit on the child friendly side, which would be excellent if you had kids. But I would definitely recommend this movie because of the humor, singing and of course dancing. |
