Tasha's Review:

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is the 6th in the 7 part series of books as well as movies.  Along with the whimsical characters and magical world that the audience has come to know and love, the movie also welcomed viewers back to Hogwarts, the mystical school of witchcraft and wizardry.

Harry Potter and his two sidekicks Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley are once again surrounded by evil and a whole lot of magic in this exciting new adventure.

Overall the movie was done extremely well considering how big the book was and what the producers had to work with.  I was also extremely impressed with how well the characters played their roles; there was a ton of “snogging” (kissing) in the movie, which was definitely very funny to see!

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince had many surprises that may have shocked some viewers (like myself), who have no yet read the books.  Although this movie was great, it was not the best of the bunch like some critics have been saying.  It was also missing some key pieces of information that may have confused the people in the audience who have not read the series.

I most definitely recommend this movie to people 10 and up (there were some frightening scenes).  But along with seeing this movie you MUST watch the first five movies to really get everything.  And if you were really smart you would read the books! I’ve heard they are good ;) Overall I would rate this movie 5 horcruxes out of 7, it was very entertaining and kept me amused the entire time!

Kaitlyn's Review:

I would give this movie 5 stars because it included the important parts in the book.

My favorite character was Hermione because she is very smart and good at magic but not so much so that she is a complete show off.

My least favorite character is Bellatrix because she is very mean and is associated with the dark arts and with Voldemort.

My favorite part of the book is when Harry and Hermione are in the library talking about how a girl wants to slip Harry a love potion because he is the chosen one.

I really liked this movie and I think it is extremely well written.
