Jam Jam Cookies
Ingredients:
 • 1 cup sugar
 • 1/2 cup lard
 • 1/2 cup butter
 • 2 eggs
 • 2 tsp baking soda dissolved in 1/4 cup
   hot water
 • 1/2 tsp vanilla
 • 1 cup syrup
 • 4 cups of flour (or just enough to make
   dough soft)
Directions:
 1.  Combine all ingredients and place in
     fridge overnight
 2.  Roll dough into a thin layer
 3.  Use cookies cutter shapes to cut out
 4.  Bake at 350°F and watch closely as
     they will bake quickly
 5.  Use your favourite jam as a filling and
     put them together while still warm.
