The Lamp and the Key Craft

With this easy craft for kids, learn how to make a printed craft of the lamp post in the Nasruddin fable of The Lamp and the Key. Make sure to use the templates below.

Materials:

• paper,
• printer,
• scissors,
• glue,
• something to color with (B&W version).

Instructions

• Print out the template of choice (color or B&W)
• Color the template pieces as desired
• Cut out the template pieces (adults may need to help with this step).
• Glue together the lamp post:
• The base is on the bottom of the main body of the post
• The hook is placed on the long horizontal part of the post
• The lamp is hooked onto the hook

Print the Template:

• Close the template window after printing to return to this screen.
• Set page margins to zero if you have trouble fitting the template on one page (FILE, PAGE SETUP or FILE, PRINTER SETUP in most browsers).
