Description: The second stage in the Caterpie evolution, Metapod are transitional Pokémon — meaning they don't remain Metapod for very long. Once they reach level 10, they evolve into Butterfree.

Advantages: Grass and Psychic

Disadvantages: Fire, Fighting, Flying, and Ghost

Pokemon Snap:

Throw Pester Balls at the Metapods in the Cave level and they will drop down for a close-up.

Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow:

You can catch a Metapod in Viridian Forest in Blue/Red and Yellow, or look for it on Route 24 and 25 (Red/Blue only). But your best bet is to evolve it from a Caterpie at level 7.
