Description:  Once Bulbasaur reach level 16, they evolve into the more powerful Ivysaur.  When the bulb on its back grows large, the Pokemon seems to lose the ability to stand on its hind legs.  Gold/Silver: Exposure to sunlight adds to its strength.   Like Bulbasaur, Ivysaur are a Grass-Poison combination, giving them twice the strengths — or weaknesses — of single-type Pokémon. Sunlight also makes the bud on its back grow larger.  If the bud on its back starts to smell sweet, it is evidence that the large flower will soon bloom. Given enough experience, Ivysaur will evolve into Venusaur.
