- Hot Dog Buns
Split wieners lengthwise, almost through.
Stuff with pencil-slim strips of cheese;
Spread generously with mustard and/or pickle relish
Wrap bacon strip around each wiener, spiral fashion (be sure the cheese is covered.)
Secure with toothpicks.
Grill over glowing coals, turning until bacon is done.
OR
Bake at 350 degrees F>, for about 15 minutes.
Serve in split toasted hot dog buns with your favorite accompaniments.
OR:- Having a wiener roast?
Roast the wieners in a Popcorn Popper.
Don’t forget to take along your old-fashioned popcorn popper with the long handle. It is ideal for roasting
wieners because you can do several at a time and they don’t fall into the fire like they do sometimes when
sticks are used.
Put the wieners in the popper and hold it over the fire, shaking occasionally until the wieners are hot and
golden brown.
