Communications Outlook

Note:  All aspects of the outlook are listed.  However, some are not conducive to providing help over the internet.

I've included a HELP link next to the areas where I could provide additional resources for the girls (working on their own or in groups).

Do one thing from each part:

PART A

Using another language, tell a story or explain how to do something.

OR

* HELP *  Learn to say these words in another language:  Hello, Thank you; My name is _________.

OR

Talk to someone who knows how to speak more than one language.  Find out how and why they learned to speak more than one language.

PART B

Learn how to make a long distance telephone call, a collect call, and how to use a pay phone and telephone book.  Show how to do this.

OR

* HELP *  Learn how to send a fax or e-mail.  Show how to do this.

OR

* HELP *  Find out how to send a letter and what has to be put on it for mailing.

OR

Learn how to use a cassette tape recorder or VCR:  play, rewind and record.

PART C

* HELP *  Find out how people who are blind are able to read.  Find out how people who cannot hear are able to communicate.  Tell your Circle about what you found out.  Show them some examples if you can.

OR

Find out about people who find it hard to communicate.  Tell your Circle about what you found out.
