DLTK's Canadian Brownies Section
Guiding Outlook
Note: All aspects of the outlook are listed. However, some are not conducive to providing help over the internet.
I've included a HELP link next to the areas where I could provide additional resources for the girls (working on their own or in groups).
Do one thing from each part:
PART A
Talk to someone who used to be in your Brownie Unit. Have her share her experiences with you.
OR
Tell one of your friends who is not a Brownie about the things you do in Brownies. (Your friend might be another girl or an adult). Bring her to your meeting.
PART B
Find out about the Guide Unit in your area. Talk to one of the girls or visit the Guide Unit. Tell the other Brownies something you found out about Guides.
OR
Find out about Pathfinders. Talk to a Pathfinder or to your Brown Owl to learn what Pathfinders do.
OR
* HELP * Create a poster that shows something about the various branches of Guiding. Put it up in your meeting place for the other girls to see.
PART C
Read a story about the history of Guiding. What was important about the story?
OR
* HELP * Find out about Brownies in other countries. Name at least 3 countries that have Brownies. How is their Promise and uniform different from Canada's?
OR
* HELP * Teach a Brownie song or Brownie game from another country.
OR
* (World Centers) (Map of the World)* On a map, find the countries where the World Centers are. Who can visit or stay at these Centers. Which one would you like to visit?
