Mulla Nasruddin's Fables - The Three Fridays
In Islam, people congregate in the holy mosques on Fridays, just like how Christians go to church on Sundays.
Mulla Nasruddin is a religious leader in his community, so he was tasked with leading Friday service one Friday. He was supposed to prepare a sermon; but due to his nature to procrastinate, he ended up empty-handed on the Friday of that week.

On that Friday, he got up in front of everyone in the mosque after the Friday prayer to present his sermon. However, he had procrastinated so much that week that he had nothing to present.
While most people would be quite anxious, Nasruddin thought of something as everybody waited for him to start speaking.
"So, how many of you know what I will be talking about today?" Asked Nasruddin. No one said anything as they shook their heads side to side.
Nasruddin let out an over-dramatic sigh before saying bluntly, "Why am I here then? I want all of you to be prepared by next Friday."
Then next Friday came, and Nasruddin was still not prepared. He went and did the same thing at the mosque after Friday prayer.
He asked the people the same question: "So, who knows what I will be talking about today?" Nasruddin asked.
Afraid to look just as ignorant as they did last week, everyone in the mosque raised their hand.
"Good, so it looks like I don't have to tell you if you all already know," said Nasruddin proudly. "I will see you all next week then?"
By the time next week came, people were onto Nasruddin. They prepared a lot more this time, so he could not get away with his procrastination.
After he asked the same question, half of the people raised their hands while the other half didn't. This meant half of them knew what we was going to talk about, while the other half didn't know. What was Nasruddin going to do about that?
But even then, Nasruddin managed to outsmart them. "How about the half that do know what I am talking about can tell the other half that don't know? That should fix things," Nasruddin said.
Nasruddin was now free, for another week!
Don't procrastinate if you don't want to let others (or even yourself) down!
The End.
