Inuit
Woman Paper
Craft
Contributed by Leanne Guenther
This is a simple cut and paste paper craft that can be done
"just for fun" or for an Inuit or arctic theme.
The woman is dressed in traditional warm clothing made from
caribou fur and seal fur -- only fur clothing was warm enough
for life in the arctic region where the Inuit live.
Older women with babies had a warm fur pouch on the back of
their outfit in which they carried their little one.
The Inuit word for this traditional clothing is "Annuraaq".
