Super Crafts Interest Badge
Note: All aspects of the Interest Badge are
listed. However, some are not conducive to providing help over the
internet.
I've included a HELP
link next to the areas where I could provide additional resources for the girls
(working on their own or in groups).
Do three of the following:
- Knit, sew, quilt or sculpt something out of clay and make a gift for
family or friends.
- HELP
Toothfairy
pillow - this makes a nice gift for a younger sibling. Make
sure you sew some of it, not hot glue it all, to meet the requirements
of the badge. Great beginner project.
- HELP
Mouse
toy - this makes a nice gift for a pet cat. Make sure you sew
some of it, not hot glue it all, to meet the requirements of the
badge. Great beginner project.
- HELP
Ladybug
beanbag - this makes a nice paper weight or decoration for mom or
dad. Make sure you sew some of it, not hot glue it all, to meet
the requirements of the badge. Great beginner project.
- HELP
Ladybug
apron - lots of fun and a great project, but it will be too
challenging for many Brownies. If you're working one on one with a
daughter ready to start using a sewing machine, this is a good choice.
- Make an Aboriginal craft.
- Make a craft using recycled materials.
- Make a paper craft, such as origami, strip-weaving, wrapping paper or
three dimensional cards.
- Make a toy out of wood, boxes or cartons and donate it to a children's
hospital or shelter.
- Make a kite and fly it.
- Learn calligraphy and make signs and cards.
